Thursday Night Football

We are back in action tonight to start the 2022 NFL season off strong. A priority this year for me is to end this season in the green, something that I have struggled for a while (thank you MLB). It all starts tonight, and nothing would make me happier that to give you some winning bets!

The Buffalo Bills are traveling to Los Angeles to take on the defending Super Bowl Champions. Somehow, in some crazy world, Buffalo is a 2.5-point favorite. To me, this is extremely fishy, and it has not taken Vegas long to irritate me with these pesky lines. At first glance, I wanted to take the Rams spread, but that really doesn't give you much value because games are rarely decided by 2 points or less. So then, I wanted to take the Rams ML, but the thing is, I just don't trust the Rams or the Bills for that matter.

Because I hated both lines, I have decided to part ways from betting a team and resorted to player props and the total. For my first bet of the season, I have placed 5.5 units on the under of 52 points in tonight's opening showdown and here's why:

  • It is the first game of the season. Even though both teams were great last year and will most likely be the same this year, it is still week one. It's sloppy, players forget play calls, snap counts, etc.

  • We all know the Rams have an incredible defense, and although the Bills had one of the best offenses last year, they still have to play in LA and against a very talented DL and Ramsey in the Secondary

To add onto that, I have added the player prop of Matt Gay o1.5 FG's. Because of my prediction of low scoring, I am hoping that Rams drives will end in FG's rather than TD's. This is simply a guess based on it being a low scoring game. I wouldn't look into this one too much, or throw that much on it, because my luck on kicking props is nonexistent.

A sneaky anytime TD scorer is Ben Skowronek for the Rams at +400. Everyone is all over Kupp, or Allen Robinson to get a TD, but everyone is forgetting about little old Ben. He is a sneaky SOB, that might slide in for a TD when no one is expecting it. This is not a big wager, but +400 is a great value for this play!

I have also used a PrizePicks promo of o0.5 passing yards for Tom Brady, and then added Cam Akers o12 rushing attempts and Tyler Bass o1.5 Field Goals. Don't miss out on this promo or the 100% deposit match on PrizePicks!

That is all I have for tonight. But I will have a blog out for College Football and Sunday NFL! Really enjoy this moment as we are really in the prime of the year!

God Speed!
